Join us at Berkelouw Books Paddington on Thursday 17th September at 6:00pm as we welcome Danni Holmes who will be In Conversation with Rachel Rayner on her latest and highly anticipated new book, Wonders of the Quantum World.

About the Book

There is a secret world beyond the reaches of our human senses in which things behave entirely differently to the world we can see. In this quantum realm, particles tunnel through barriers and can exist in several places at once, rebelling against the laws of classical physics that govern our daily lives.

In Wonders of the Quantum World, embark on a journey through scale from the familiar to the quantum. Travel past the cells that make you 'you' to the atoms that make them. Discover the weird and wonderful behaviour of nature at its smallest dimensions.

Despite the minute scale upon which they operate, these quantum traits have far-reaching and profound consequences on our Universe, life on Earth and future technology. This book will open your eyes to fascinating quantum wonders, such as how stars shine, migratory birds navigate and humanity will solve the unsolvable.

With this book as your field guide, you will learn to spot quantum in the wild wherever you explore in the Universe.
