In Conversation with Kendal Henry
Event description
Join us in the Gardens of the Gallery for an exclusive conversation with Kendal Henry.
Kendal Henry is an artist and curator based in New York and has specialised in public art for over 25 years.
His projects and programs—spanning the US, Europe, Asia, Australia, and beyond—illustrate that public art can be a tool for social engagement, civic pride, and economic development.
Kendal’s philosophy is that successful public artworks begin by asking, “What is the artwork to achieve?” while considering the audience and surrounding environment.
He’s currently the Director of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs Percent for Art Program and an adjunct professor at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development.
He will be in conversation with Michael Brennan, Director of Noosa Regional Gallery.
Light refreshments will be served during the event.
