Event description

Join us for an evening with acclaimed author, poet and artist Omar Musa as he talks about his latest novel Fierceland. A local talent with a global voice, Omar first made his mark with his celebrated debut Here Come the Dogs and has continued to captivate audiences with his powerful storytelling across literature, poetry and performance. His work has taken him from small towns to major international stages, earning recognition for its honesty, lyricism and cultural insight.

In this special event, Omar will share insights into his creative journey, the inspirations behind his writing, and the challenges and triumphs of bringing stories to life across different art forms. Come along to be inspired by one of Australia’s most exciting contemporary voices and to celebrate the achievements of a local author whose stories resonate far beyond our borders.

Copies of Omar's books will be available to purchase on the night.
