Just a month after moving to Melbourne, Desy joined PMW to find her first professional job in Australia. She quickly became a valued part of our community, volunteering and supporting our events.
Now based in Sydney, Desy is returning to share her journey—the challenges, the wins, and the role of mentorship in her career. Don’t miss this inspiring conversation!
A little bit about Desy
I’m a product manager with over 6 years of experience, starting my career in Indonesia where I worked with Fintech startups. In August 2024, I moved to Australia to pursue my long-time dream of living abroad and further advancing my career. After a challenging job search, I’m now working at an insurance tech startup in Sydney. My journey has been filled with both obstacles and rewarding experiences. Along the way, I’ve met incredible people who have supported me and played a key role in helping me get to where I am today. I’ve had to adjust to a new culture, navigate a different job market, and continuously push myself to grow in this new environment.
About This Session
Join us for an engaging and insightful In Conversations With session, where you'll have the opportunity to connect, learn, and be inspired!
Event Flow:
- We'll kick off with a warm welcome from our facilitator, followed by a quick round of 2-minute introductions from all participants.
- Our guest speaker will then share their professional journey in a 15–20-minute talk—a great moment to listen, reflect, and note any questions.
- A 30-minute interactive Q&A will follow, where you can ask all your burning questions and gain valuable insights.
We encourage you to turn your cameras on to create a more dynamic and engaging conversation! The session will take place on Zoom, so make sure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet space.
