In Conversations With...

It is a monthly, online session where we bring professional migrant women to share their experiences and insights into navigating the Australian professional landscape. Featuring a different guest from a different sector each month, you'll have the chance to learn from a variety of perspectives and industries.

Our Guest Speakers

We are excited to have Simran Kaur, Legal Support Officer at Victoria Police.

A little bit about Simran:

Simran is a Legal Support Officer at Victoria Police and is currently completing her Practical Legal Training (PLT) at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University. Her career has taken an unexpected but rewarding path, from customer service and banking to building a career in the legal sector. Along the way, she has worked across several Victorian government organisations, including the Magistrates' Court of Victoria and the Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner, gaining experience in legal administration, regulatory compliance, and the justice system.

Session Flow

Event Flow:

We'll kick off with a warm welcome from our facilitator, followed by a quick round of 2-minute introductions from all participants.
Our guest speaker will then share their professional journey in a 15–20 minute style talk with the facilitator. This is a great moment to listen, reflect, and note any questions.
A 30-minute interactive Q&A will follow, where you can ask all your burning questions and gain valuable insights.

We encourage you to turn your cameras on to create a more dynamic and engaging conversation! The session will take place on Zoom, so make sure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet space.
