Presented as part of PYT Fairfield Artist-In-Residence program, The Hen House is a new music theatre work weaving extraordinary, humorous, and tragic multi-lingual stories of female migrant factory workers from Western Sydney with distinctly live and loud original music nodding towards Australian pub-rock bands of the time.
A fierce, funny, and electrifying experience, The Hen House elevates diverse women’s voices as powerful and hugely significant to Australia’s social and economic history.

Venue
The Fairfield School of Arts is located at 19 Harris Street, Fairfield NSW 2165.
The distance to Fairfield train station is 350 metres, a 5 minute walk.
There is parking in surrounding streets and in Downey Lane Car Park.
COVID Safety

PYT Fairfield has a COVID Safety Plan and will follow all regulations and restrictions at the time of performance. As the situation is always changing we recommend you check this information again at the time of your event.
Please stay home if you are unwell or are awaiting the results of a COVID test.
In accordance with NSW Health, it is a requirement that all patrons aged 16+ have received two doses of a COVID-19 Vaccination prior to entry. Proof of vaccination status or valid written medical exemption will be required at entry to PYT. Patrons under the age of 16 are welcome to attend, however if they are not fully vaccinated they must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult from their household.
Face masks are mandatory at all times in the theatre for all patrons aged 12 and over except those with a valid medical exemption.
Please practice safe hygiene and keep socially distanced.
