What do you want to be in devotion to in 2027?

As the new year arrives, I invite you to spend a morning tending to yourself and listening to what you want to nurture in the year ahead. This gathering falls a week before the Lunar New Year - an auspicious time to reflect on the possibilities of the year and what you want to bring into being.

Devotion lives in the everyday ways we care for ourselves: what we give our attention to, what we make time for and what we choose to return to.

We’ll gather in my home studio, the little blue hut, and, if the weather allows, the garden, for Yin Yoga, reflection, creativity and Yoga Nidrā. There will be time to settle into your body, share morning tea and discover a word that holds deep meaning and offers support in the months ahead.

Think of this morning as a retreat to offer you clarity, a place and a word to return to, and an anchor for the year ahead. An invitation to embrace your deepest desires and be in devotion to them.

Our morning together

✨ 9-10:30am · Yin Yoga
A 90-minute practice supported by bolsters, blankets and blocks, inviting you to tune into summer with spacious joy and a deep, reverential listening to your body. We begin our morning in devotion to the body and all it holds.

✨ 10:30-11:15am · Morning tea
Fruit, yoghurt, baked goods and tea, with time to connect and enjoy the company of the group.

✨ 11:15am-1pm · Word of the Year Workshop & Yoga Nidrā
Through guided reflection, journalling and the support of tarot and oracle cards, you’ll explore what devotion means to you and choose a word to accompany you through the year. You’ll then paint it into a mandala to take home - a reminder of what you’re choosing to tend to. We’ll close with Yoga Nidrā, offering ourselves to rest and allowing time to receive all that has emerged.

No experience with yoga, painting or cards is needed, and you don’t need to arrive with a word in mind.

Your ticket includes

Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidrā practices
Guided Word of the Year Workshop with watercolour mandala painting, journaling, tarot and oracle cards
All painting materials provided, with your finished mandala to take home
