Our memorial program is open to all members of the community, extending a heartfelt invitation to anyone who wishes to participate. At its core, this event will be a gentle and healing gathering, encouraging individuals to bring an item that holds a special connection to their cherished memories of a lost loved one. Through various activities and opportunities for sharing, we aim to foster a sense of togetherness, remembrance, and catharsis.
Key Features:
- Sharing Circles: Attendees will have the chance to share their stories and the significance of their chosen items within supportive sharing circles, creating an atmosphere of empathy and mutual understanding.
- Photography Booth: A dedicated photography booth will allow participants to capture the essence of their connection with the memory item, offering them a tangible keepsake to cherish.
- Refreshments: The event will provide a coffee van and afternoon tea, creating an inviting space for conversation, reflection, and bonding over a warm beverage and snacks.
- Singing to Heal: A soothing "Singing to Heal" session will provide a musical, therapeutic experience, helping participants find emotional release and comfort through the power of song.
- Live Music: Live music will accompany the event, enhancing the atmosphere with melodies that resonate with the emotions of the day, further facilitating the healing process.
- Conversation Pits: Strategically placed around the Tuart College campus, these conversation pits will promote community connection and shared understanding of grief, encouraging attendees to engage in compassionate conversations and offering a sense of awareness and support.
