In My Blood It Runs NAIDOC Screening
Event description
Join us this Sunday, 13 July as we close out NAIDOC Week with a film screening in Space 2.
Sunset. Cushions on the floor. Projector on.
We’ve chosen In My Blood It Runs in honour of this year’s NAIDOC theme - Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.
The film follows Dujuan, a young Arrernte and Garrwa boy growing up in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). It doesn’t offer easy answers - instead, it asks us to reflect on what we pass down. A reminder that the next generation is already here, already speaking, already resisting.
If you’re able, we’ll have a donation link open to support the Institute of Postcolonial Studies - a local organisation creating space for Indigenous sovereignty, anti-capitalist imagination, and collective thought.
This gathering takes place on unceded Wurundjeri land.
Always was, always will be.
