Event description

In Our Day

U3A and Homeschool Intergenerational Learning Program

Life was very different for members of Liverpool’s U3A History Group when they were young children.

It was a world without the internet, mobile phones, and the technology that we take for granted today. It was a time when you played with your friends until the street-lights came on and then you ran home. Milk was delivered by the Milko, and wearing shoes to school was for the rich kids.

Join us for a special show and tell by members of the Liverpool U3A History Group. Members will bring items and share memories of what it was like to grow up in the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s.

Linked to the NSW History curriculum, this is a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy, listen to and ask questions to the U3A members about their stories from the past.
