In the Face of Grief: Guided Tour & Conversation at the Met
Event description
Throughout human history, art has played an important role in the ways that we memorialize loved ones in death and express our grief. Join us as we explore the universality of grief through the portal of art on a special group tour led by arts educator Deborah Chi at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We will view and discuss several works of art, handpicked for their relevance to the mourning process, as we navigate and reflect on personal experiences with loss and grief.
This tour is available in English only, and will require some mobility as we will be touring across two floors of the museum.
Group is limited to 15 people. Ticket purchase includes the tour and general admission to the museum.
This event is co-presented by Death of the Party and Here to Honor.

About Here to Honor
Since its founding in 2020, Here to Honor has envisioned end-of-life as a journey that can actually lead to stronger relationships and being more fully engaged in the present. We believe that death, as a shared human experience, can be approached with hope and togetherness. Our mission is to cultivate community around end-of-life learning so that everyone feels supported in facing mortality and equipped to make informed decisions. We do this by identifying and offering resources and expertise from across industries, developing training and events for ongoing learning, and fostering networks of peer and professional support.
