    Event description

Communities at Work's Galilee School invites you to attend our upcoming In The Know session on online safety. In the Know is an information series for parents and guardians to address and promote positive messages in the community, focused on young people's mental and social well-being.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about young people and the online environment, and how you can help them to be safe and responsible users of technology.

The session is being delivered by ThinkUKnow. It will cover what young people SEE, SAY and DO online, the challenges they may face, and how to report and get help if things go wrong. ThinkUKnow Australia is an evidence-based education program delivered nationally to prevent online child sexual exploitation.

About In The Know Information Series

Communities at Work's Galilee School 'In The Know' is an information series for parents and guardians. It is aimed at addressing and promoting positive messages in the community, focused around the mental and social wellbeing of young people.

The initiative is an attempt by our school to exercise greater positive influence in the lives of young people over what affects them outside the school environment. The information series hopes to provide support to parents and guardians to better understand and tackle contemporary challenges affecting the young people in their care.

It demonstrates our commitment to helping young people from the school gain an understanding of society, access positive role models, and form positive relationships outside the school setting.

While ticketing priority will be given to Galilee School's parents and guardians, if we have enough places remaining, spots may be opened to other Communities at Work's families and the broader community.
