In the words of Barbara Hanranan
Event description
Join Pink Shorts Press and Goodwood Books for an evening celebrating the words of Barbara Hanrahan – feminist author, artist and visionary.
Hear local literary legends Tracy Crisp, Farrin Foster, Jo Case and Anna-Mei Szetu perform readings and discuss Hanrahan's artistic eye and influence.
Barbara Hanrahan (1939–1991) may be best known as a printmaker, with over 450 works in the National Gallery of Australia, but she published fifteen books during her lifetime, many connected to her life in Adelaide, and her own creative journey. Her debut memoir, The Scent of Eucalyptus, is still well-loved, and two of her novels, Sea Green and Annie Magdalene, have been recently rereleased by Pink Shorts Press.
A glass of Coriole wine will be included on entry, with non-alcoholic options available too.
