In The Works: Azimeh / عزيمه
Description
When the world has fallen into fracture and disarray, untethered, backwards, inverted... what can happen when we gather?
Azimeh / عزيمه (ah-zee-meh) is an Arabic word for a gathering — an invitation to come together. Azimeh / عزيمه is a gathering in response to the fuckery of the world.
Unleash the new, pull at magic threads, chase it away with polemic outcries, vocal signatures and ancestral song. We can learn a lot from each other when we gather. How remains to be seen.
Bringing together Nicole Barakat with Claudia Chidiac and Majdi Jelda; Rosie Belvie and Jenny Trinh, Azimeh / عزيمه doesn't propose gathering as an answer to the world we find ourselves in. It begins with something simpler: in response to it, we come together.
Come alchemise IN THE WORKS, followed by food and reflections. The night continues beyond the works, with every ticket including a shared meal in PACT's courtyard.
