Incense Workshop
Description
Incense is a ritual object and within it, all four elements are held at once. Earth, in the herbs and resins gathered from the ground. Water, which binds them into form. Fire, which lights them. And air, the smoke that rises, carrying your prayers.
Making incense by hand is a way of working with all four elements in one object, slowly, with your hands.
This workshop is an invitation to gather, create, and slow down together.
We'll begin the day with a tea ceremony, a quiet way to ground ourselves before we move into making.
From there, we'll move into the incense workshop itself. You'll learn how to handmake incense sticks and cones using only natural materials, herbs, resins, and botanicals, nothing synthetic. I'll walk you through the process step by step, and we'll talk about how to set an intention as you shape each piece, so what you make carries something of your own.
By the end, you'll take home the incense you've created, to burn in your own space, as part of your own ritual, whenever you need to ground, focus, or simply pause.
This is a small, hands-on gathering, built for anyone drawn to natural materials, quiet ritual, and making things with care.
