Event description
This Studio Workshop is suitable for beginners wanting to learn how to start and finish a painting, as well as experienced painters wishing to expand their skills.
The tutor, experienced artist Georgie North, will guide participants on how to build up complex images. Topics to be addressed include sketching form and shadow, layering paint and the importance of correct preparation of the painting surface. In a small and supportive group environment Georgie encourages questions, provides one-on-one tuition as well as a supportive class environment.
Participants are welcome to bring their own materials or use ours. These include acrylic paints, brushes, drawing boards and canvas paper.
This workshop is suitable for classroom teachers of all year levels seeking to improve student learning outcomes and expand their visual arts practice.
