Studio Workshops with Bethany Wheeler
In this workshop series, participants explore the art of glass kiln forming. Demonstrations and guidance are provided on designing glassware for various purposes, glass cutting, and the fundamentals of fusing and slumping in the kiln, along with finishing techniques. Adult participants engage in foundational projects, learning glass cutting and kiln forming to craft an array of translucent pieces.Diverse projects may include a sculptural coral bowl, sushi platter, coasters, jewellery, ornaments, lantern, and tangram puzzle, offering a hands-on experience in creating unique and functional glass artworks.
This workshop includes basic materials, tools and firing service.
For your safety please bring your own Safety Glasses and wear closed-toe shoes to this workshop.
Additional glass can be purchased on presentation of your ticket at Axess Glass, 12 Charnfield Court Thomastown . Students will be entitled to receive a 10% discount on purchases.
