Inclusive Education: Transition to High School
Event description
We warmly welcome you to join us for:
Starting high school is a big step – for students and their families. Join us for a supportive and relaxed social event and workshop designed to connect families as they navigate this important milestone.
All family members are welcome. Fun activities will be provided for children. Light refreshments are included.
From 2.45 - 3.45 pm Alison Maunder, DSNSW Education Specialist will present information on:
How to explore and choose a high school that suits your child's strengths and needs
The differences between mainstream schools, support classes and specialist settings
What the Life Skills curriculum offers and how it's implemented
Your rights as a parent and how to work with schools to support your child
Common questions families have – and real answers from people who understand
This event has been made possible through the support of the Department of Social Services Information Linkages and Capacity Building Program.
Registration is essential to attend this event. Please ensure you register every family member attending.
