Unlocking Potential: Strategies for Supporting Literacy Development in Students with Down Syndrome


This workshop equips NSW teachers with practical, evidence-based strategies to support reading and writing development in students with Down syndrome.

Learn how to create inclusive classrooms, implement targeted literacy approaches, and build student confidence.

Topics include:

📖 Reading – The Research & How Students with Down Syndrome Learn to Read

📝 Practical Reading & Writing Strategies for the Classroom

✍️ Skill-Based Writing Instruction & Effective Literacy Techniques
