Description

In today’s workplace, "diversity" is often treated as a metric. But how do we move beyond the numbers to create genuine belonging and leadership pathways?

This interactive workshop invites HR professionals, DEI practitioners, sector leaders, and passionate staff to explore the "invisible barriers" that prevent LGBTQIA+ migrants and international graduates from reaching their full potential. Together, we will move past surface-level inclusion and dive into the systemic shifts needed to foster truly equitable leadership.

Why Attend?

Most recruitment and networking systems are designed with a "standard" candidate in mind. This session provides the tools to:

  • Uncover Invisible Barriers: Identify the subtle biases in recruitment and informal networking that exclude diverse talent.

  • Apply Intersectionality: Understand how race, migration status, sexuality, and language intersect to shape a person’s career trajectory.

  • Drive Structural Change: Explore small actions to inform policy changes and embed culturally responsive practices.

Who Is This For?

This session is specifically designed for those with curiosity to influence workplace culture:

  • HR & DEI Practitioners looking for advanced intersectional frameworks.

  • Passionate staff wanting to improve the workplace culture for LGBTQIA+ international students and migrants

  • Sector Leaders (LGBTQIA+, PVAW, and beyond) committed to diverse leadership.
