Event description
The Maiam nayri Wingara is working with the ACT Health Directorate to embed Indigenous Data Governance in the ACT. The project aims to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the ACT in accessing Indigenous data for their decision-making and nation (re)building.
A Community Forum on Indigenous Data Sovereignty and Indigenous Data Governance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and organisations will occur on Friday, November 29th, 2024. It will be a one-day, fully catered event for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only. We will start with morning tea at 9.30 am, and the forum will begin at 10 am and finish at 3 pm. Lunch and afternoon tea will also be provided.
Please register your interest by getting a ticket (no charge) to the event before Sunday, November 24th, 11:59 PM AEDT. Also, please provide dietary requirements.
