Indigo Shibori - Into the Blue - 1/2 Day Workshop
Event description
'Into the Blue' is a 1/2-day workshop where you will be introduced to the magic of the indigo vat, assisting with preparation of the vat, as well as receiving instruction and tutor support to create simple itajime (folding) shibori (stitching) style resist patterns on cotton swatches. You will also be able to complete personal pieces on silk, cotton or linen, if you choose.
Included in the workshop is a range of cotton testing samples; additional silk, cotton & linen 'blanks' (scarves, tea-towels, bandanas) will be available to purchase and personalise with indigo designs.
No personal fabrics are to be brought to the workshop for dying.
Unlimited herb tea is included; healthy lunches, coffees & snacks are available to purchase form the Blue Knob Gallery Cafe.
