The Launch of the Adaptation Game

Indigo Regen is proud to host a very special event to celebrate World Localisation Day on June 21st 2026; the launch of The Adaptation Game at Beechworth Town Hall.

Come and join others from your community to play The Adaptation Game (TAG) for the first time in Indigo Shire, and share a delicious afternoon tea.

TAG is a table top board game designed for Indigo Shire residents to connect and help prepare our community to be more resilient for climate change.

Playing the game helps individuals and communities to explore the impacts of extreme weather events, such as heatwaves, floods, and fires, and identify practical actions to build personal and community resilience to weather-related challenges.

You get to play out real world ways to prepare and protect your home, family, community, and environment. TAG will help you connect what you enjoy, and what you are good at, with what needs doing.

TAG is based on scientific evidence about how climate change will affect Indigo Shire, and explores practical ways to adapt and contribute to community resilience, as well as understanding the projects and programs already being implemented by local groups and Indigo Shire.

Each table will have four players and a facilitator who will guide you through the game .

You can come as an individual or come along with a friend, neighbour or fellow members of your community group.

TAG is an interactive, collaborative game where the players work together - you don’t have to be “good at games”.

But you will leave with ideas about how to protect what you love and a sense of hope and possibility.

Our aim is to respond to challenges triggered by climate change by creating safe, inclusive ways of sharing skills and knowledge that support sustainable actions, promote circular economies and grow more resilient communities.
