Seedstarting & Early Plantings: An Hands-on Workshop

This event has passed Get Tickets

Event description

It may seem early, but now is the time to start seeds and plant the earliest crops in the garden.  This workshop will provide an overview of how to start seeds successfully, both indoors and outdoors, and how to know what is needed for the various vegetables and flowers that you may want to grow.  The temperature thresholds of the springtime are essential to understand if you want to be successful in the garden.  Many people start seeds at the wrong time, or in the wrong type of environment and get discouraged.  Get some tips for how to create garden beds and layout the garden.  This workshop will also include an overview of soil fertility. Learn what you need to know for a successful start to the season!

This is a hands-on workshop associated with the Grow Your Own Produce Workshop series.  We offer a 10% discount for students who are also enrolled in the online series.

Come prepared to be outside and actively learning together.  Please bring your lunch.
