Prepare your business now!

The WBN is partnering with the Narrogin Chamber of Business to deliver these important updates and provide your business with practical guidance to ensure your business is compliant with the new legislation

How does this affect you?

The WHS Bill will replace the existing Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 (WA) and imposes a primary duty of care requiring persons conducting a business to reasonably ensure the health and safety of workers. The WHS Bill introduces an increase in penalties and enforceable undertakings

All persons conducting a business and their officers should familiarise themselves with the Act, especially the new industrial manslaughter offence.

The bill introduces a maximum penalty of between five and 20 years imprisonment for individuals, along with fines of up to $10 million for companies.

What should my business do to prepare?

Attend these information sessions to learn about the law and your obligations and what you need to do in your business to meet the regulations when they are introduced in 2021
