Music, Man brings together a group of male writers for a lively conversation about the music that has shaped their lives and creative practices. From the songs that unlock memories to the soundtracks behind particular characters, stories and writing rituals, the panel explores how listening can influence what—and how—we write.

Expect personal stories, unexpected musical influences and an engaging discussion about creativity, identity, masculinity and the power of music to help us express what words alone sometimes cannot.

Parramatta's Lit! is an annual literary festival celebrating the stories, voices and ideas that shape Western Sydney. Presented across libraries, heritage sites, cultural venues and public spaces throughout Parramatta, the festival brings together writers, readers, publishers and communities through a program of author talks, workshops, performances, play readings, residencies and industry events.

Developed in partnership with Baramadagal cultural knowledge holders and Elders on Dharug land, and embracing the rich cultural diversity of Parramatta, Parramatta's Lit! champions stories and writing in all its forms - from novels and poetry to playwriting, truthtelling and storytelling, multilingual writing and local zines.

Parramatta's Lit! fosters creativity, collaboration and connection while showcasing Parramatta as a place where stories are created, shared and celebrated.
