The word crip was once used to discriminate. Today, it is reclaimed and celebrated.
A reading from the Sydney contributors of Crip Stories.
A collaboration with NewSouth Publishing and Mascara Literary Review, the book prioritises BIPOC writers and those who are multiply marginalized. Featuring MC: Michelle Cahill, and with contributors Sharleigh Crittenden, Peter Boyle for Mario Licón Cabrera, J Marahuyo, Hem Sid Chandran, Irina Frolova Mona Attamimi, Paris Rosemont and Ariel Riveros.
The event will also honour the disabled Mexican Australian poet and translator, Mario Licón Cabrera who passed away during the book's production.
