We warmly invite you to join us for an Information Evening about the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at St Columba.
The IB Diploma Programme is a future-ready pathway of study for students in Year 11 and 12, that builds students’ inquiring mindsets, fosters their desire to learn, prepares them to excel at university (and beyond) and lead meaningful lives.
The IB Diploma Programme (DP) at a glance
- The DP is a challenging, balanced and internationally recognised educational programme for Years 11 and 12. Students may choose to study the HSC, or the DP.
- Students study Core components, plus six courses. The DP Core includes: Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service.
Courses include:
- Studies in Language and Literature (English) and Language Acquisition (French)
- Study of Individuals and Societies (e.g. Business Studies, Psychology) and The Arts (e.g. Theatre, Visual Arts)
- Mathematics and Sciences (a range of courses to accommodate different interests and abilities)
