Information Session: Work in Early Childhood Education With Communities@Work (April)

Are you interested in a career in Early Childhood Education and Care? There are several pathways available to become an educator with Communities@Work, and we invite you to attend our information session to find out more.

This session will provide you with information about employment opportunities with Communities@Work, as well as information about study and qualifications. 

You will also have the chance to ask questions so you can make informed decisions regarding your options and career pathways.

And if you are ready to begin your career journey with Communities@Work, you will be offered the opportunity to sit an LLN - a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment - which is a requirement for entry into our programs. 

If you are sitting the LLN, please allow 2 hours for completion of the assessment.

Please note that once the cap of the information session participants is reached,  you will not be able to  book in a new ticket but you can sign up to the waiting list. And if a cancellation occurs, we'll release a spot for you and add you to the attendees from the waiting list. 

SESSION OUTLINE

10am - 11.15am: Information session with Q&A

11.15am - 11.30am: Break

11.30am - 2.00pm: Language, literacy and Numeracy assessment session (OPTIONAL FOR THOSE INTERESTED)


WHAT WE WILL COVER

We will discuss your potential to undertake the following employment/qualification journey (applicable if you don’t have any qualifications in the sector) to get employed with us and get your qualification at the same time:

STEP 1: Attend the Information Session & Sit for an LLN Assessment

STEP 2: If you pass the LLN Assessment, you will be invited for an interview for employment

STEP 3: If successful in the interview, you will be provided with an offer of employment (full time or part-time)

STEP 4: If you accept the offer of employment, you will be required to enrol into a Cert III qualification with our RTO under the traineeship model

STEP 5: Begin your employment with us, while also studying for your qualification (weekly 3-hour study sessions) 

Please note: you must be actively working towards your Cert III qualification within 3 months of being employed by us to continue working as an educator.
