Tue, 9 Sep, 10pm - 10:30pm EDT

Event description

Raising a child with disability in a regional, rural or remote area can feel isolating, especially when specialist services are hours away, waitlists are long, and support feels out of reach.

In this session, we’re joined by Fiona Phipps from Royal Far West, Australia’s leading charity supporting country kids and their families. Fiona will share how they are helping to bridge the gap by providing accessible care that’s often hard to access close to home.

We’ll explore
• Who Royal Far West are and their long history of supporting country kids
• The unique challenges facing regional, rural and remote families and how Royal Far West can help
• Who is eligible, what services are available, and how support is delivered
• Practical steps to access help, from referrals to telehealth and travel support

About the speaker
