Event description

The International Nepal Fellowship warmly invites you to join us for a time of inspiration and encouragement at a special event in Melbourne featuring Naomi Reed.

Date: Saturday 11 October 2025
Time: 6:30pm–8:00pm
Venue: St Hilary's Anglican Church, Osburn Ave, Balwyn North, VIC
Speaker: Naomi Reed

Join us for a special evening hosted by International Nepal Fellowship Australia, featuring author and speaker Naomi Reed.

With warmth, insight, and a deep understanding of Nepal, Naomi will share powerful stories of faith and resilience drawn from her years of service and connection with INF’s work. This event is an opportunity to reflect on calling, purpose, and the role we can all play in God’s mission — both locally and globally.

Whether you’re a long-time supporter of INF or simply curious to learn more, all are welcome. Supper will be provided.

Speaker: Naomi Reed

Naomi and Darren Reed spent six years in Nepal, serving with INF as qualified physiotherapists.

Darren worked at Western Regional Hospital while Naomi worked at Green Pastures Leprosy Hospital. By their second term, in 2003, Darren was training Nepali physiotherapists at Dhulikhel Medical Institute and Naomi was home-schooling their three sons on a Himalayan ridge.

They both loved their local Nepali church community but challenges included civil war, rain and curfews. These experiences spurred Naomi to write her first book, My Seventh Monsoon.

The family returned to Australia in 2006. Since then, Darren has been lecturing in anatomy at Sydney University and Naomi has continued to write books as well as speak at churches.
