Casa todas las tradiciones indígenas tienen un rito de baño de sudor. La ceremonia del inípi es la casa para sudar de la gente Lakota; representa el vientre de la Madre Tierra y es un lugar para morir y renacer. La ceremonia de inipi es para la comunidad. Es un lugar seguro, caliente y oscuro donde sanamos y cantamos para conectar con El Gran Espíritu. Durante la ceremonia se puede entrar a un estado de mente donde no hay tiempo ni espacio; todo fluye entre cánticos, plantas y resinas. Es importante tener el corazón abierto para dar y recibir.

La vivencia del inípi otorga una purificación, una liberación de elementos tóxicos; elimina velos que ocultan una luminosa partícula, una chispa que reside en cada miembro de la especie humana. Cuando la persona se auto descubre poseedor de “aquello”, el saberse recipiendario de algo tan magnifico, induce a un cambio de consciencia, a modificar la forma en que percibe la vida.
Es importante tener claro, que la experiencia en el inípi tiene que ver con el tema del fuego, de aquello que produce calor, lo podemos entender como un horno que cocina nuestro ser, para convertirlo en algo de mejor calidad. Por diversos caminos encontramos señales que nos muestran que a través de la purificación con buena voluntad es posible sanar, transformar y evolucionar. Indudablemente el inípi por todas sus características contribuye a esto.

What is an inípi? (Kansí in Taíno language)
Nearly all indigenous traditions have a ritual of a sweat bath/lodge. The inípi ceremony is the sweat lodge of the Lakota people; it represents the womb of Mother Earth and is a place to die and be reborn. The inipi ceremony is for everyone in the community. It is a safe, hot, dark place where we heal and sing to connect with The Great Spirit. During the ceremony you can enter a state of mind where there is no time or space; everything flows between the songs, plants and resins that are used. It is important that we enter with an open heart to give and receive.

The experience of the inípi provides a purification and a liberation of toxic elements; it removes internal veils that conceal a luminous particle, a spark that resides in every member of the human species. When a person discovers himself to be in possession of "that", the knowledge that he is the recipient of something so magnificent, it induces a change of consciousness, a change in the way he perceives reality.
It is important to be clear that the experience in the inípi has to do with the theme of fire, of that which produces heat; we can understand it as an oven that cooks our being, to turn it into something of better quality. In various ways we find signs that show us that through purification with good will it is possible to heal. transform and evolve. Undoubtedly, the inípi, by all its characteristics, contributes to this.
