Injera (Ethiopian Flat Bread)
Event description
Learn how to make a traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean Injera - a soft, bubbly bread which has a slightly sour taste and looks like a big pancake. Traditionally this bread is eaten with a variety of savoury stews. Ethiopian and Eritrean foods are spicy and delicious!
Your Injera master, Yodit, is from Ethiopia and is happy to share her traditional culture through sharing recipes and food which she guarantees you will love. Outside of Story Festival you can find Yodit's delectable food up for offer at Queen Sheba Injera Catering located at 27 Lefroy St, North Hobart.
This workshop culminates in a shared meal (from 4pm-4.30pm). Please advise of dietary requirements at checkout. Please note that some dietary requirements may not be able to be met due to the nature of this cuisine. Get in touch with us if you have any concerns or queries.
Don't forget to bring a takeaway container to take home any leftovers!
