All this is on offer, under the skilled guidance of our fabulous team of artists!

Ink Pot Arts, supported by Country Arts SA, and in partnership with Janesce Organic Skin Care and Brother Bear Café, offers this unique Wellbeing Experience for both visitors to the region and local residents, that will refresh & lift your spirits.

THREE WORKSHOPS Wednesday 16th November 2022:

Printmaking Workshop with Rebecca Prince
Rebecca Prince is an Adelaide hills-based artist, Art teacher and wildlife carer. Rebecca's Art is inspired by her natural surroundings and her interactions with the animals she cares for and witnesses in her garden. Her main working medium is watercolour and drawing but she also creates clay sculptures. Rebecca has taught Art to children and adults for 9 years.

1. Printmaking Workshop 9.30am-11.30am

Discover the wonderful world of printing using Nature as your inspiration. This collage and printmaking workshop will have you layering paper with beautiful scraps of fabric, tissue paper or left over wrapping paper to create an interesting background on which to print using either mono-printing techniques or linocut.

Art Play with Linda Hall
Linda Hall sees herself as a bridge-builder, rather than a specialist artist. Over the years she found herself ‘just playing’ with a wide repertoire of artistic materials - from percussion & movement to soft chalk pastels to sand-tray storytelling - and found that play built nurturing bridges between herself and Nature and the Artform. And that’s what she loves to introduce others to, whether you are an experienced Artist or simply want to play…. or a bit of both?

2. Art-Play as a Bridge for Nurturing 1.00pm-3.00pm
The venue, in its beautiful natural setting, will be our inspiration and the offering of various activities. Choose one or more (visual arts/storytelling etc) and these will combine to take you on this new adventure.

No previous artistic experience of any kind is needed.

You will be the starting point and your wishes will guide your experience, with Linda's support. You may work solo throughout the session or choose to share with others. A gently playful approach will not preclude a depth of engagement.

Aboriginal Art with David Booth
David Booth is a Warumungu/Yuggera man born on Yuggera country in Brisbane, Queensland. He now lives on Peramangk country in the Adelaide hills and has a strong connection to the Ngarrindjeri/Peramangk people through his partner and children. As a child he was home-schooled along with 5 other siblings, and his mother travelled tracing links to Family and Country as she was part of the Stolen Generation & wanted to connect to Culture. They learnt from and were surrounded by cultural leaders, teachers, and Traditional Knowledge holders. David respectfully shares with people Cultural knowledge he has gained as a young boy through respected Aboriginal leaders/Elders in different areas of country through story, art, music, and dance. The old people used to pass down knowledge and stay connected to land and water. Aboriginal people are a part of the land and water - we are here to care for it and teach our next generations how our ancestors have cared for country for thousands of years.

2. Aboriginal Art - Painting Workshop 4.30pm - 6.30pm
This workshop gives an explanation of Central Desert Art and the use of symbols for communication and passing on knowledge through stories. Participants will be guided by the artist to create individual small paintings.
