**BREATHWORK GUIDELINES**

Conscious, Connected Breathwork results in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also can result in intense physical and emotional release. Please be aware that these sessions are safe, illuminating, transformative and deeply healing, and can sometimes cause the following:

* Tingling

* Buzzing

* Vibrating

* Trembling, shaking or other physical sensations, including spontaneous physical movement

* Tetany (tightness in the hands or sometimes the jaw- we will guide you on how to work with it and manually release it during the live session)

* Somatic (body) unwinding

* Deep emotional experiencing, release and catharsis

* Trauma release

* Experiencing life force energy (prana) moving through your body

* Unlocking repressed sensual/orgasmic/shakti energies

* Ecstatic, kundalini awakenings (usually for more advanced journeyers)

* Next is a list of contraindications for Conscious, Connected Breathwork.

These contraindications are in place in order to offer Breathwork only in the safest and most ethical manner and adhere to the International Breathwork Foundation’s guidelines. If you are on the contraindication list, you are not a candidate for the full breathwork technique. This doesn’t necessarily preclude you from the breathwork component - please email lyndal@lyndalellisyoga.com to outline your contraindication and we can discuss the option of a more modified and gentle breathwork experience.

- Pregnancy (at any stage)

- Severe PTSD or trauma

- Actively using recreational drugs

- Taking any medication that alters brain chemistry like anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, ADD, OCD medications, etc.

- Detached Retina

- Glaucoma

- Kidney disease

- High Blood Pressure

- Cardiovascular disease, including angina, previous heart attack or stroke

- Diagnosis of aneurysm of any kind

- Uncontrolled thyroid conditions

- Diabetes (any type)

- Severe Asthma— for mild to moderate asthma, we can discuss but you must bring your inhaler to the session

- Epilepsy

- History of Seizures

- Prior diagnosis of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or previous psychiatric condition

- Severe psychosomatic disorders

- Recent surgery, stitches or injury

- Hospitalisation for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the last 10 years

- Any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect ability to engage in any activities that involve deep physical and/or emotional release

***Please note: Participants must be 18 years of age or above to participate in Conscious Connected Breathwork due to the nature of this work and the potentiality for what may arise for both the participant and those around them.

☥ Meet Lyndal ☥

Lyndal is a local Lennox mama, yogi, sound healer, breath and meditation teacher and level 3 master reiki practitioner.

Lyndal is passionate about co-creating safe, nurturing, healing and transformational experiences for women. There is nothing quite like sitting with other like minded, conscious women and co-creating a sacred container where women feel safe and able to be vulnerable to open up and be seen, heard and held.

Lyndal is always continuing to grow and evolve through her teachings and offerings, and she is currently undertaking studies in ‘Sacred Feminine Alchemy’, also incorporating deep and profound breathwork journey studies. She brings all of this knowledge, along with her yoga teacher training, yogic breathwork, meditation and reiki background to her offerings to co-create a safe, magical and soul nurturing container with her clients.

Lyndal’s life purpose is to help women to find themselves, so that they can connect to their innate deep inner knowing and wisdom, to the place that has all the answers, to the inner healer and wise one; so they can feel into their authentic truth to truly Be who they are in sacred and unapologetic totality. She can’t wait to co-create this magic with you too

☥ Meet Maddie ☥

Maddie is a passionate practitioner and healer, lennox local, holistic myotherapist, health & life coach, energy healer, and has a deep sense of purpose in helping others harness their health, pain and wellbeing to ultimately help heal themselves.

Maddie has over 8 years of clinical experience, and coming from an elite gymnastics background, she has many skills to share and offer. Maddie is the founder of Whole Myotherapy, a local practice in Lennox Head.

Maddie loves to treat holistically, and treat the body as a WHOLE- emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually, and believes that by looking at all elements of an individual, this is the way you can begin to get to the root causes of pain, dysfunctions, repeating patterns and coping mechanisms. Maddie tailors an individual approach, and works as a team to guide you to better health, less pain, and more fulfilment in your life.

Maddie is always continuing her personal and professional development, as she believes we are always a student of this universe!

Maddie believes that her approach to her work and healing are principles that always apply to life. She dives deep into the root cause- which can come from many aspects, such as physical, emotional, trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and more. She combines (depending on the client), holistic myotherapy, myofascial release, remedial massage techniques, deep tissue, dry needling, energetic healing, lifestyle adjustments, health & life coaching, rehab, mobilisations and more. Through her background in Health Science (Bachelor of Health Science- Clinical Myotherapy), Health and Life coaching certification (Institute of Integrative Nutrition), and many courses in Functional Rehabilitation, Energetic Healing, and Neuroscience- she has a solid under-pinning of knowledge and skills to draw from.
