Tea Meditation, Mindfulness Abstract Creative Journaling & Circle Sharing

When: Sunday, April 13th, 1.30pm -3.30pm

Where: Auckland CBD - Books on High's reading lounge (8 High street, level 4)

Space is limited to 8 people only (note that our tea has a small amount of caffeine)

The event includes:

Brief Introduction on Mindfulness & Art Journaling (10 mins)
Guided tea meditation & Intention setting (30 mins) - organic lotus tea
Intro on Abstract Art Journaling + A quick warm-up 10 mins Creative exercise
Abstract Art Journaling with prompts and shared techniques (60 mins)
Circle sharing - optional (5 mins)
Closing meditation (5 mins)
Art supplies included (pens, markers, crayons, stickers, papers, old books, old magazines, glue, scissors)
Organic lotus tea included

What to bring:

Your own water bottle.
Your own journal for art journaling if prefered
Your own art supplies if prefered.
Your own cushion (optional) for extra comfort.

Note:

Please arrive 5 mins before 1.30pm to settle in. Host's phone will be turned off at 1.30pm sharp. If you arrive late, you might not be able to get in the venue.
Parking with weekend rate $2 per hour to a maximum of $15

About the host -Sierra Truong:

Sierra is an artist, meditation teacher, writer and tea practitioner. She started her meditation journey in 2014. Meditation is the foundation of her art & Cha Dao - tea practice.

Sierra is the founder of The Grounded Circle, a community that was started in 2022 to support your wellness with the grounding practices of meditation, tea, art & self-expression. She has been teaching meditation classes, tea sessions, art & authentic self-expression events around Auckland over the last few years.

Sierra has illustrated tarot and oracle cards for tarot authors all around the world since 2019 when she left her interior design job to be a fulltime illustrator. Sierra has published a number of mindfulness, yoga & slow living colouring books.
