Most startups don't fail because the product is bad. They fail because nobody can say, in one sentence, who it's for and why it beats what they're already using.

That's positioning. It's the part of go-to-market most founders skip, and it's why good products stall.

This month our panel of founders and operators pull apart how they actually did it: how they found the narrow slice of the market they could win, how they described it so customers got it straight away, what they tried that didn't work, and how they got their first paying customers. Honest stories, not frameworks.

Then it's over to the pitches. Five Inner West founders get five minutes each in front of the room and the panel, and you vote for the winner.

WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH
- A clearer idea of how to find and own your corner of the market
- A way to test your positioning before you spend money on marketing
- A sharper answer to "so what do you do?"

WHO IT'S FOR
Founders from pre-launch through to Series A. Operators in sales, marketing and product. Investors who want to see what's being built in the Inner West. Anyone who has ever struggled to explain what they do at a barbecue.
