The Artist

Loni Jean Lafinier

Loni is a curl-specialized stylist and educator known for her grounded presence, metal-tinged edge, and mastery of lived-in curl shapes. Years of corrective cutting, real-world salon work, and thousands of textures have shaped her eye into what it is today.

Her approach is simple in the most elevated way — stripping away the performative and focusing only on what matters: the curls, the craft, and the human in your chair. Her teaching empowers stylists to feel whole, supported, and deeply connected to their artistry.

Her philosophy turns wash day into a ritual of patience, self-care, and real curl connection. When you take the time to hydrate, apply with purpose, and understand how clean, organic products support your natural texture, everything changes — your curls last longer, your definition stays stronger, and you fall in love with your hair from day 3 to day 7, not just on wash day. It’s about giving your curls the love they need to be their healthiest, most badass, most authentic self.
