InnerWest Disability Forum

Event description

The InnerWest Disability Forum is a network of disability sector professionals in the Inner West suburbs of Sydney.

These meetings provide an opportunity for information sharing, professional development and networking for anyone working in the disability sector.

After more than a 4-year long break, we want to relaunch as a member-led network, this first forum will be a workshop to explore future objectives and priorities.

What the workshop aims to establish:

•  Determine the Forum's objectives and priorities

•  Identification of barriers and emerging trends to address

• Network and membership structure

• Communications methods

Event Schedule:

- Icebreaker & introductions

- Morning tea and treats sponsored by together2 and United for Care

- Workshop in small groups - what members expect from the network, suggestions for topics, structure, timing/duration, social events, naming of the network, member eligibility criteria, code of conduct etc.

- Each group will present their suggestions, and we will vote the priority items.

- Next steps: next forum date and how to join the IWDF network

When:  Wednesday 26th of June

Time:  From 9:30am to 12:30pm

Location:  Leichhardt Town Hall - Corner of Marion and Norton Streets, Leichhardt New South Wales 2040
