INNOVATE is an exciting program designed to empower young people aged 12+ through art and creative therapy and adventure therapy in the breathtaking landscapes of Far North Queensland.

🌿 What to Expect:

Creative Workshops: Unleash your creativity and explore innovative ways to express yourself through art.
Community Impact: Visit local communities to run fun-filled programs for children, featuring games, sports, and adventure.
Bush Adventures: Hike through lush rainforests, swim in crystal-clear waterholes, and discover majestic waterfalls.
Leadership Mentoring: Camp in a stunning natural setting and join small group mentoring sessions to develop leadership skills and innovative problem-solving abilities.

🌟 What is Art and Creative Therapy?
Art and creative therapy uses art-based activities to help people express themselves and resolve their emotions, such as art therapy, music therapy, dance and movement therapy, drama therapy and poetry therapy. It can be beneficial for people with a variety of physical, mental, and emotional conditions.

At Soul Lift our art and creative programs combine creativity, colour, movement, music, storytelling, writing, performance, photography and various art forms in wild places of inspiring hope. Participants disconnect from technology in order to reconnect with who they are and all they can be through relearning to release the old and step into the new with vision, dream, purpose and belief. Most participants experience profound freedom and renewal in mind, heart, and soul. This brings transformational change in their lives that can begin a powerful journey out of depression, anxiety, fear, anger, pain, mental anguish, and brokenness. It is radically life-changing.

Adventure Therapy is a diverse field of practice that combines adventure and outdoor environments to achieve therapeutic outcomes. Research in this field has shown positive results in improving self-concept and self-esteem, encouraging help-seeking behaviours, fostering mutual aid and pro-social behaviours, building trust, and more. Through nature-based experiences, participants develop resilience, strengthen social connections, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves.

At Soul Lift, we operate innovative 4WD adventure trips in wild places all over Australia to inspire hope, healing and a way forward into mental wellness. The thrill of adventure, the buzz of overcoming challenges and energetic feats, the camaraderie of journeying together over difficult things and hard places builds mutual trust, great friendships and connections with mentors that can take young people to a whole new level in themselves. Adventure therapy is a key to helping young people find who they are, their value, their identity and their purpose, with integrity, tenacity and strength.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

✈️ Fly into Cairns and Start Your Adventure in Style:
Participants can fly into Cairns Airport, where you'll be greeted and picked up in Bumblebee—our big, off-road 4x4 truck built for adventure!

ARRIVAL - Participants flying in must book to arrive into Cairns before 10am on Monday 20th of January, 2025.

DEPARTURE - Participants flying out must book to depart from Cairns after 2pm on Friday 24th of January, 2025.

All participants flying in must share flight booking details with Soul Lift 2-days before arrival to comply with our risk management policies. This is to ensure the safe pick-up with clear communication for all participants.

PLEASE NOTE: Flight Bookings and Costs are not included in outlined costs and are the responsibility of each individual.

Mon	20/1/2025	10am Pick Up from Cairns Airport. Leadership building activities and mentoring plus a breathtaking swim at Babinda. Unwind around a campfire with great stories and a good feed.
Tue	21/1/2025	Soak up sunrise at Milla Milla falls with a chance to swim and take on some team challenges that'll get you thinking outside the box. Spend the afternoon innovating in the wild of Lake Eacham and Lake Tinaroo overcoming obstacles and letting go of fears as you hike hidden paths to places of sheer beauty! Magnificent. Let your creativity flow as you learn to let go and break new ground in who you are.
Wed	22/1/2025	Sit in silence at sunrise at Lake Tinaroo. Find healing and strength in silence and letting go. Let nature move you before you go swimming and hiking and take on some seriously epic leadership challenges. Drive to Mareeba - run a Soul Lift Fun Day at Mareeba community - cook a BBQ, play sports and games, let creativity flow: music, dance, song, art, yarning circles. Drive to Davies Creek to camp amongst the stars and wild beauty of Dinden National Park!
Thur	23/1/2025	Sunrise at Davies Creek Falls, swim, hike. Drive to Kowrowa - run a Soul Lift Fun Day at Kowrowa community - cook a BBQ, play sports and games, let creativity flow: music, dance, song, art, yarning circles. Swim at Barron River. Run an overnight camp for Kowrowa kids at Davies Creek. Fire, food, stories, stars. How big is your world?
Fri	24/1/2025	Sunrise Davies Creek Falls, swim, hike. Brunch at Kuranda. Drive to Cairns to be at the Cairns airport by 2pm.

Trip payments can be paid in full via credit card at the checkout, or via ZipPay or AFTERPAY over four instalments.
