2024 Innovate4Cities Conference
Event description
Step into the future of urban sustainability at the 2024 Innovate4Cities Conference (I4C24) in Montréal, Canada from 10 to 12 September. Co-hosted by the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) and UN-Habitat, I4C24 will bring together leaders from all levels of government, academia, business, and civil society to bridge the gap between city climate ambition and tangible action.
Building on the success of the 2021 virtual conference with 7,000 participants from 159 countries, the insights of the first Global Stocktake, the SURGe initiative launched at COP27, and the recent launch of the Coalition for High-Ambition Multilevel Partnerships (CHAMP) initiative, the 2024 edition is geared towards contributing valuable insights and best practices to shape global climate policies and advance collaborative solutions, as we navigate the climate challenges of today and tomorrow.
Set against the urgency of climate change, the conference is a shared space to connect cities, funders, academia, businesses, and organizations to address critical gaps in policy, research, and innovation. Grounded in the latest IPCC research and respective progress on innovative cross-sector solutions that address sustainability gaps, the Conference will be a unique opportunity to accelerate city climate solutions for a net-zero, climate-resilient future.
Join us this September in Montréal (and online) to immerse yourself in the nexus of cities, climate science, and policy innovation. Be an integral part of the 2024 Innovate4Cities Conference, where networking, knowledge exchange, and partnership opportunities abound. Don't miss your chance to co-create the future of sustainable cities – the time for transformative action is now.
