The UQIES Innovation Challenge is BACK and BIGGER than ever! In partnership with UQ School of Chemical Engineering and UQ Ventures, 120+ students will spend three days formulating, refining, and pitching a new business idea – supported by UQ alumni and members of the local entrepreneurship community.

This year’s theme: It’s universal and it’s never been more relevant: Sustainable Futures - (How might change the way we live in a way that protects our future in terms of recycling, green energy, industry engagement and changes to our behaviour?)

What: Over three days, you will be challenged to find your team mates, tackle a current issue, and formulate a solid business idea. With support from the UQIES team and mentors, by Sunday afternoon, you will have prototyped and validated an idea in preparation for your KILLER pitch to our experienced panel of judges. The event is fully catered!

Who: UQ students, UQ alumni and interested members of the entrepreneurial community

When: 5-7 August 2022 (Week 2, Semester 2)

Where: UQ GCI Ventures Building (20), The University of Queensland St Lucia campus

Prizes:

1st Price - $2000

2nd Price - $1000

3rd Prize - $500
