Insecta Botanica Art Exhibition Opening

Insecta Botanica: The Interconnected Worlds of Insects and Flowering Plants is a celebration of the hidden relationships between insects, bug and flowers. This exhibition invites audiences to explore the extraordinary and often overlooked world of insect pollinators (bees, beetles, butterflies, moths, ants, flies, and more) and their relationship with flowering plants. Local artists will be exhibiting works across different mediums, including photography, paintings and entomological taxidermy.

Date: Opening Thursday 18th September.
Time: 4pm - 7pm (come anytime, you don't need to be here at 4pm!)
Exhibition Entry: FREE.
The exhibition will be accessible during centre opening hours, 9am - 3pm, Monday - Thursday until closing on Thursday 30th October.
Butterfly Pinning Workshop
In this opening night exclusive workshop, discover the delicate beauty of butterflies in a beginner friendly butterfly pinning workshop.
You’ll be guided by exhibiting artist Tiahbugz in butterfly pinning techniques, and take home your own preserved specimen—an elegant intersection of art and science.
Date: Thursday 18th September.
Time: 6pm - 7pm.
Cost: $60 - $80pp (sliding scale - pay what you can) with take home mounted butterfly.
