Insights about Charter Schools

You are invited to an exclusive, free, ECC member-only event on the charter school policy.

Simon will run members through the key aspects of the charter school model and its similarities to the early childhood framework. While ECE is excluded from the charter school model it is possible to design an education offering that integrates a school and ECE.

Those members contemplating submitting an application by the 9 August deadline should consider sending someone to this event.

Simon will outline:

• Successful aspects of the previous charter school policies
• Key differences with the revised policy
• Accountability and reporting requirements on sponsors
• Tips on negotiating with the Crown
• Areas where previous schools had problems (lessons learned).

The event is 1 hour with time for Questions & Answers. Event closes 11am as the room is required for the ECC member networking event.
