    Event description

Join us in the exciting and informative webinar about the transformational potential of microgrids, developed through the comprehensive feasibility study of the Derwent Bridge Microgrid Project. Led by a team of UTS experts and industry partners, this is going to major in some of the critical steps and methodologies in the evaluation, development, and implementation of a microgrid. Understand how a project in an isolated town in Tasmania managed community engagement, curated data, designed, forecasted, modeled in the digital twin, and executed predictive analysis in developing a resilient and sustainable energy solution.

    Learning Outcomes:

Feasibility Study Framework: Learn a step-by-step procedure for conducting the most appropriate and detailed microgrid feasibility study, from identification of location to cost-benefit analysis.

Community Engagement Strategies and Business: Discover effective methods for engaging local communities in renewable energy projects and develop sustainable business models for microgrids.

Design and Optimization: Understand the process of microgrid design, planning, and optimization of grid-connected, partly islanded, islanded, hydrogen-based, and nonhydrogen-based microgrids.

Digital Twin, forecasting, and Predictive Analysis: Get introduced to the approach that uses the concept of digital twin, forecasting, and predictive analysis for optimizing microgrid design and operation.

Case Study Insights: Derwent Bridge project: insights into practical aspects, such as the problems and challenges, how they were mitigated or solved, and impacts.

Advanced Technologies and Tools: Get introduced to the New Integrated Platform new to UTS—advanced with Forecasting Tools, Microgrid Design Tools, and Cost-Benefit Analysis Tools.
