Our Inspire Talks series are a series of informative talks from world class speakers and leaders in their fields.

These sessions are being filmed to be published on YouTube, and by booking a ticket you will be part of our small live audience, and have opportunity to engage with our speakers and participate in a QnA segment at the end of the session.

Hear from former Commissioner NSW Police Andrew Scipione, and regular commentator on The Drum Michael Jensen, about the difference Jesus makes in their lives.

This session commences at 9am sharp, arrival from 8:40am to be seated in time for filming to begin. Please note if you are late, due to the live nature of filming, you will not be able to attend this session.

Andrew Scipione

A former police officer who served as Commissioner of the New South Wales Police Force, succeeding Ken Moroney on 31 August 2007. He retired from the New South Wales Police Force on 31 March 2017. Andrew is married to Joy, with whom he has three children. Their two sons, Ben and Jonathon, are New South Wales police officers and their daughter Emma is a teacher. Andrew often speaks of his commitment to reducing alcohol fuelled-violence and domestic-violence.

Michael Jensen

Michael has been rector of St Mark’s since 2013. Before that, he taught theology at Sydney’s Moore College. Michael likes to imagine himself one day getting fit, and loves British comedy and Eastern European food (cevapi, anyone?). Michael has written a number of books including Is Forgiveness Really Free? and My God, My God – Is it possible to believe anymore? He is married to Catherine and has four children, a cocker spaniel and a domestic medium hair cat.

Inspire Talks are free events, capacity is limited so booking is essential.
