Description

A free event for high school aged youth and their parents/guardians

⚠️ Please note: Young people must attend with a parent, caregiver or case worker. This is a requirement for the event.

Logan has always had greatness in it - and this event is about making sure our young people know that too.

Join us for a powerful morning of real stories, honest conversations, and inspiration you won't forget. Six diverse local role models will share their journeys on stage: the doubts they faced, the barriers they broke through, and how they found their path forward.

Whether your young person is thinking about university, dreaming of starting a business, or trying to figure out where they fit in the world of work - there's a story on this stage for them.

Meet the panel:

  • Mo Alizadeh - Entrepreneur & Founder of HalalHop

  • Fardowsa Yussuf - Co-founder of Talim Legacy Youth

  • Peter Sambia - Entrepreneur & Founder of Praema

  • Alberto Stanley-Melesia - Youth Support Coordinator at Kingston State High School

  • Elise Bell - Student at QUT

  • Tisha Green - Chief Operating Officer at Gunya Meta

What to expect:

  • A live panel discussion featuring local role models sharing their authentic journeys

  • Talks from Jon Raven (Mayor of Logan City) and Angelia Leitch (Deputy Vice Chancellor of Griffith University and Woodridge State High School Alumni)

  • Real talk on university pathways, entrepreneurship, and working your way up

  • Interactive Q&A so young people can ask the questions that actually matter to them

  • Plus, stick around for a few surprises on the day! 🛍️🍩

This isn't a lecture. It's a conversation - and your young person deserves a seat at the table.
