There is something special about the process of preparing a plate and working with ink. There is always this gasp of delight when you see the results of your work. From the ideation process to the quiet contemplation of preparing your plate, to the 'hold your breath' moment of inking up and printing your work, finishing with the satisfaction in cleaning up.

In this workshop, Annette Rohde of Fresh Ginger Creative will teach the basics of using dry point etching (intaglio) print making methods. We will look at ideas, discuss processes, create an image on a plate and look at options best to print your image on your own card or a small image to frame. Lino will be available if that suits your image.

All materials will be supplied but feel free to bring any paper, images and ideas.

Tea and coffee provided. Feel free to stay for a happy half hour afterwards.

Bring an apron and old towel, you’re bound to get dirty. For health and safety, please wear closed-in shoes.
