Dr. John Grant is a highly experienced professional with thirty years of expertise in land and soil mapping and research both in Australia and internationally. He has a special interest in soil health, nutrient cycling, agroecology, carbon sequestration in soils, and the relationship between soil parameters and plantation productivity. 

 John has been devoted to lecturing about soils at Southern Cross University for 20 years.Presently, his research focuses on a range of areas, including nutrient cycling and land rehabilitation in agroforestry systems in the Pacific, carbon sequestration in soils, soil nutritional interactions with Bell Miner Associated Dieback in forests, environmental and carbon sequestration advantages of dung beetles and biochar, land rehabilitation, and soil parameters and plantation productivity relationships.

John is a current SoilCare Inc. Board Member.  He also serves on the Board of the Subtropical Farm Forestry Association (AFFA)
