Making the Business Case for Integrating Sustainable Investing
Description
NZ Super Fund and Northern Trust Asset Management have partnered with RIAA to bring you an interactive discussion as part of the RIAA Aotearoa Conference program.
Aligned with this year's conference theme, A closer look at responsible investment in practice, this session will explore how sustainable investment beliefs are translated into real-world investment decisions.
Held on Monday 21 September in Auckland from 3:30pm – 5pm, the session will bring together investment committee members, responsible investment practitioners and investment professionals to work through practical investment committee papers and implementation challenges currently facing investors.
Through facilitated table discussions, participants will examine real-world recommendations, debate alternative courses of action and consider the trade-offs involved in turning investment beliefs into portfolio decisions. Discussions may explore questions relating to benchmark design, stewardship priorities, sustainability integration, portfolio construction and emerging investment challenges identified by participants.
As part of registration, attendees are invited to nominate a topic, implementation challenge or investment committee paper they would like the workshop to explore. Selected topics will help shape the table discussions.
Participants will share perspectives, test ideas and learn from peers across the investment chain in a collaborative, practitioner-led format.
Space is limited to support meaningful discussion and participation. Priority will be given to RIAA Conference attendees, although all investment and responsible investment professionals with an interest in investment decision-making and implementation are encouraged to attend.
All are invited to a happy hour following the workshop.
